As part of an upcoming poster series I wanted to show my somewhat abstract process in creating these images. The image above is one of those posters, currently about 80% complete.
Typically a 3d artist will render out many layers for one image. Layers for color, shadows, lighting, etc. This leaves the compositor with great control when color correcting the image.
I deviated on a tangent by rendering only one image (all color information combined into one layer) and in Photoshop I created abstract color combinations, saving each out as a unique layer asset. Designed by: Vic Park
